Harry C. Keeler Port Huron Harry Charles Keeler, 88, of Port Huron died Wednesday, December 5, 2012. He was born in Nevada, Ohio on January 25, 1924 to Earl and Hazel Keeler. The family moved to Port Huron in 1934. Harry attended Port Huron schools, graduating from Port Huron High School in June of 1942 at which time he joined Michigan National Bank. Upon being drafted, Harry served as a Staff Sergeant assigned to the 8th Air Force B17 Bomber Squad in the United States Army Air Forces stationed in England during World War II. After the war, he returned to Michigan National Bank and graduated in 1955 from the University Of Wisconsin School Of Banking. Harry was Vice President at Michigan National Bank and was the owner and President of the Credit Bureau of Port Huron from 1976 until 1984. He was a member of many organizations including the Visiting Nurse Association, the Shriners, and Treasurer of the Girl Scouts of America, and of the Old Newsboys. Harry was a long time member of Port Huron Golf Club. Harry is survived by his wife of 64 years, Geraldine; two daughters, Judy (James) Kearns of New York, New York and Paradise Valley, Arizona and Kathy (Jon) Bilstrom of Dallas, Texas; his granddaughter, Hanna (Powell) Henson of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Grace Adham of Novi, Michigan and Hazel Mezo of Blacksburg, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Eugene and Earlton Keeler; and a sister, Edith Milner. The family would like to thank the staff at Barss Residential for their compassionate care. Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Smith Family Funeral Home-North, 1525 Hancock Street, Port Huron. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 10, 2012 in Grace Episcopal Church. The Reverend Robert Trask will officiate. Thinking of you and your family. My heart goes out to all of you. Harry was a special person and we were all grateful to just know him. My husband and I are now living in St. Johns, Mi. We miss our friends at Grace church, especially at times like this. I am thinking of you and sending prayers for Harry. Love to you my friend. God Bless and love to you during this time and always.

Gerri, I want you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers. For Harry, I am sure he is at peace. His journey was not easy for him or you. Please know that Barb and I did love Harry. He was always a challenge. Take care. Love and prayers to you and your family.
