Bartley, Billy  
Billy Bartley Avoca Billy Bartley, age 93, passed away November 9, 2014, at the Marysville Hospice Home. Billy was born in Croswell, September 17, 1921 to Claude and Samantha Bartley.  He graduated in 1939 from Croswell High School, and sailed the Great Lakes 1940-1941, aboard the J.J. Campbell. In 1942 he volunteered to fight for his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp, where he was trained as an aerial photographer, engine mechanic, aerial gunner, attended cadet school, and ultimately became a flight engineer in the 401st bomber squadron. Billy married Margaret Pascoe of Detroit, March 2, 1946.  She remained the love of his life, even though she left us all June 11, 1992. He owned the Texaco Service Station and Hobby Shop in Lexington, was a boiler house foreman, and then instrument technician for Croswell Michigan Sugar. Billy built R/C model airplanes and was a founding member of Port Huron Treetoppers, and a twenty year member of the Southern Eagles R/C club.  He also coached minor league hockey out of McMorran Arena for twelve years. Billy is survived by four children, Michael, Kathi, Nancy, and Anne Marie, six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, son in law and friend Frank Hull, and five siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marge, grandson Matthew Bartley Van Houten, and son in law Benjamin Schonschack. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at Pomeroy Funeral  Home, Lexington, December 13, 2014 at 11 AM, with visitation from 10 to 11 AM. Burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery with Military Rites.  Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren, Patrick, Caryn, Daniel, Amy, Tessa, and Nicholas. Biewer, John  
John Bailey Biewer Indian River John Bailey Biewer, age 59,  formerly of St. Clair passed away peacefully on Nov. 16, 2014. He was born Oct. 30, 1955, in St. Clair, Michigan to John (Jack) and Marilyn (Bailey) Biewer. John worked at John A. Biewer Sporting Goods until his retirement. John lived in Indian River, Michigan and had been active in his community.  He was a member of Kiwanis and past president.  John was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.  He was a devoted member of the Cross in the Woods Catholic Church.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. John is survived by a brother, Steve ( Linda) Biewer of Ottawa, Illinois, four nieces and nephews; Seth Biewer of Portland,Oregon, Leah ( Blaine) Roberts of Colona Illinois, Jenna Biewer of Tulsa Oklahoma, Jace Biewer of Ottawa, Illinois, and a large and loving extended family and many friends. John was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald Biewer. Visitation will be Monday November 24th from 2pm to 8pm, with a rosary at 7pm, at Young Funeral Home, 4061 St. Clair Hwy. East China Twp., Michigan and Tuesday from 10 to 11 am at the church prior to mass.  Funeral mass will be at 11 am Tues., Nov 25th, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair, with the Father Michael Zuelch officiating.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in St. Clair. Bowersox, Randy  
Randy Milton Bowersox Passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospital Saturday, November 15, 2014, surrounded by loved ones. Randy was born July 17, 1951 in Midland, Michigan to Robert A. Bowersox and Marilyn M. Milton Bowersox. Throughout his life Randy showed a gentle and loving spirit to the people who came into his life. Randy proudly lived his life on his own terms without apology for his individualism. He loved fishing, rock music, western movies and spending time with family and many friends. Randy will be deeply missed by all who love him. Randy is survived by his mother, Marilyn Snider, and his long-time life companion Dolores "Dee" Goodman and Dee's daughter Lynn Goodman. Randy leaves behind his sisters, Debbie (Tim) Ojczyk, Cathy Cleary, Cari (Bill) Simons and his brothers, Robert (Judy) Bowersox and Jeff (Julie) Bowersox. Randy is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert. A private family memorial service has taken place.  Arrangements were by Smith Family Funeral Home - North, 1525 Hancock Street, Port Huron.

Caufield, Vivian  
Vivian Ruth (Minor) Caufield Marine City Vivian Ruth (Minor) Caufield, age 88, died November 19, 2014. Vivian was born August 13, 1926 in Royal Oak to the late Alexander and Lilly Blainey. She married Richard Minor on April 16, 1945. He preceded her in death September 10, 1963. Vivian's first love was always her family. She also enjoyed traveling, gardening, crafts, quilting, walks and photography. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years and was an active member of St. Mark's and St. Paul's Episcopal Churches. Vivian also enjoyed attending her children and grandchildren's sporting events for many years. She is survived by her daughters; Cheri (Bill) Musial, Terry (Tom) Filo and JoAnn (Lynn) Watson and son, Richard Minor. Grandchildren; Bill (Cheryl) Musial, Bonnie (Tom) Jones, Tracey Filo, Jason (Heather) Filo, Lindsey (Aaron) Shovan, Ashley (Travis) Lusko and Karli Minor. Great grandchildren, Cole and Zach Musial, Morgan Jones, Aiden Shovan, Alicia DeRue, Cole Vogel and soon to be Emmie Lusko. In addition to her husband she is also preceded in death by daughters, Bonnie Minor (1962) and Diane (Minor) Miller (2005) and siblings Shirley Prevo, Bob Blainey, Joan Potter and Audrey Sturgis. Funeral services will be Monday November 24th at 10:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair.
