Edward G. King Sr. Port Huron Township Edward G. King Sr., 78, of Port Huron Township, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 16, 2016 in California. He was born March 5, 1938 in Port Huron to the late George and Ernestine King. He attended St. Joseph's and Port Huron High School. Mr. King was employed with General Motors prior to his retirement. He enjoyed spending time in California, cooking, following the Detroit Tigers, bowling, travel and spending time with his grandchildren. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church for many years and was a member of the Toppers Club. He is survived by four sons, Lawrence King Sr., Eric King Sr., Andre King, Sr. and Terrence (Marian) King; nine grandchildren; many great grandchildren; five siblings, Douglas (Jane) Spigner, Martha Wells, Roberta Sanders, Marian Walker and Donald (Carole) King;  step children, Sherri (Jay) Stover, Kim Jackson, Leslie (Jodi) Smith, Mark Smith and Troy (Jeanna) Milton; many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Merla "Toni" King; a son, Edward King, Jr.; and a sister, Eugenia Cole. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The Reverend Anthony King will officiate. Krantz, Cecelia  
Cecelia "Ruth" Krantz Petoskey Cecelia "Ruth" Krantz, 92, formerly of Port Huron, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2016, in Petoskey, where she lived the past 8 years.  Ruth was born in Detroit and was raised in Port Huron by the late Fred and Nellie Dubs.  She graduated from PHHS June 1941. After serving as a Sergeant in the US Marine Corps from 1944 to 1946 she worked at Michigan Bell Telephone, retiring after 35 years.  She continued to stay active as "The Lunch Lady" at Garfield Elementary School for a number of years.  She was a respected Girl Scout leader and enjoyed her Bird Watching/Walking Group and regular lunches with the Michigan Bell girls.  She spent many a summer camping and canoeing with her nieces and nephews.  We will all miss her beautiful smile and contagious laugh. Ruth is survived by her half-sister, Carolyn (Jim) Munro, Fort Gratiot, and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by a sister and 3 brothers. Her cremains have been interred at Evergreen Cemetery in Detroit. Rest in peace, "kiddo".
