Whittaker, Donald  
Donald Russell Whittaker St. Clair Donald Russell Whittaker, age 66 of St. Clair, passed away in his home on August 25, 2015.  He was born on May 31, 1949.  He graduated from St. Clair High School and married the love of his life, Ann Freeland on September 9, 1967. Don retired from the Detroit Edison after 38 years of dedicated service.  He loved to hunt and fish.  His favorite place to be was at his boat house and garage.  Don also loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Ann Whittaker; his sons Russell Whittaker, Scott (Nikki) Whittaker and Donald (Jen) Whittaker; his grandchildren, Lucas, Whitney, Donald and Devon; his brother David (Mary) Whittaker; sister, Lisa (Jack) Horn; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Joyce Whittaker; and sister, Vickie Mead. A memorial gathering will be held for Family and Friends on June 12th at Columbia Banquet & Conference Center (K of C Hall) on Rattle Run Rd in St. Clair.  Doors will open @ 1130, Service will start @ 12pm and dinner will follow.

Widmeyer, Gordon  
Gordon "Gordie" Widmeyer Gordon "Gordie" Widmeyer, 66 died unexpectedly Monday, May 16, 2016 in his home. He was born December 23, 1949 in Baltimore MD.  Gordie's family resided in Detroit and he attended St. Francis Home for Boys School. As a young teen, he moved to Port Huron to live with his Grandparents.  He remained in Port Huron and worked at familiar places such as the Zebra Bar, Eifert's Eggairy, Marshall Campbell and Ross Bible Church.  He was an avid sports fan including the "Port Huron Flags Hockey", University of Michigan football and enjoyed playing and coaching softball.   Gordie was a devoted friend and volunteer, who loved his family and pets.  He will be deeply missed. He is survived by brother, William "Bill" Widmeyer; aunt, Eleanor Eifert; and several cousins including Michelle Eifert, Virginia Engelgau and Linda Askar Stoldt. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2016 in the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service. His cousin, the Reverend George F. Askar, Jr., will officiate. Gordie's family prefers memorials be made to American Diabetes Association, Blue Water Area Humane Society or a favorite charity of your choice.
