Helm, Robert  
Robert Edmund Helm Port Huron Robert Edmund Helm, 71, of Port Huron, died Thursday, December 11, 2014. He was born April 3, 1943 in Coatesville, Pennsylvania to the late Robert J. and Ruth M. Helm. Robert practiced law in Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor and Saginaw.  He attended the University of Wisconsin where he played in the marching band, before graduating from West Chester University in Pennsylvania.  He earned his J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School.  In retirement, Robert worked as a Docent at the Maritime Museum of San Diego on the Star of India and enjoyed photography and writing.  He is survived by his sons, Robert R. Helm of New Orleans, Louisiana and Michael Helm of Clawson; grandchildren, Robert M. Helm, Andrew Helm, Alex Helm and Zachary Helm; and two siblings, John Helm and Susan Thomas, both of Coatesville. Private family services will be held. Arrangements are by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the St. Clair County Council on Aging. Heyser, Thomas  
Thomas J. Heyser Marine City Thomas J. Heyser, age 77, of Marine City, died December 23, 2014. Tom was born June 10, 1937 in Battle Creek to the late Phillip and Genevieve Heyser. He was a graduate of the Class of 1955 from Marine City High School. Tom worked on the Great Lakes for eight years sailing with the Interlake Steamship Co. and later for over 26 years as a Detroit Police Officer. Tom enjoyed fishing and hunting at his cottage on West Twin Lake in Lewiston and also with his old friends after returning back to Marine City following his retirement. He also an avid Spartan fan. He loved to watch and talk about Michigan State sports teams. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy (Stephenson) Heyser, children, Michael (Denise) Heyser, Kathy Heyser (Jim Fry) and Allison Heyser, one grandson and two great grandchildren, brother, Doug (Jeanette) Heyser, sister, Sally Davenport, brothers in law and sisters in law, Betty Younkins, David and Marge Stephenson, Michelle and Gary Herbst and Jerri Stephenson. Following Tom's wishes no viewing or services will take place and memorials are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice. Cremation arrangements by Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Hill, Alton  
Alton Hill Marysville Alton Hill, 78,  died Thursday, December 18, 2014 in his home. He was born November 22, 1936 in Detroit. He married Delores G. Finley on February 2, 1957 in Detroit. Mr. Hill retired from General Motors in 1984 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Moonshooters at the Marysville Golf Course for many years and loved Detroit sports. He was also the 1955 World Champion for Duncan Yo-yo. He is survived by his wife, Delores;  a son, Gary (Pam) Hill, and a daughter, Terri (Michael) Johns, all of Marysville; four grandchildren, Jason (Lindsay) Hill of Grosse Pointe Woods, Jamie Hill (Steve Allen) of Marysville, Matthew (Ashley) Johns of Shelby Township and Joshua (Lynn) Johns of Marysville; ten great grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Ruby Finley of Marysville; and two brothers-in-law, Jack Finley of Marysville and Todd Finley of Washington Township. Hull, Dorothy  
Dorothy M. Hull St. Clair Dorothy M. Hull, age 94, died December 20, 2014. She was born August 18, 1920 in Detroit to the late Howard and Grace Moore. Dorothy worked for American Airlines for many years and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. She is survived by a sister; Jean Siver and nineteen nieces and nephews, whom she so dearly loved. Dorothy was predeceased by husband Donald Hull; sister; Grace Distelrath and brother; William Moore. Funeral services will begin Tuesday December 23rd at 10:15 a.m. at L.C. Friederichs and Son Funeral Home, St. Clair with a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary's School.
