David was the beloved husband of the late Catherine; loving father of Allen (Linda), Martin (Nancy), William (Adrienne), Denise, Brian and Randy; proud grandfather of 11 and 5 great grandchildren; and dear brother of Chester, Judy, Sandra, and the late Robert. Obituaries from the Past Three Days

Anger, Gertrude  
Gertrude Rose Hebert Anger Gertrude Rose Hebert Anger found peace on May 25, 2015, just months before her 100th birthday. She had lived in the Port Huron area for more than 70 years before moving to Brighton in 2011, where she resided at the time of her death. Gertrude was born in Port Austin on December 16, 1915, to Joseph Hebert and Delia Lambert. She moved to Port Huron in the late 1930s, where she met Everett Anger; they wed on August 26, 1939. Their union of 50 years ended with Everett's death in 1990. They had three children: Thomas, James, and Patricia Anger. In addition to her husband and parents, Gertrude was predeceased by her seven brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her three children, five grandchildren, almost-sixteen great-grandchildren, and spouses and partner: son Thomas and his wife Nancy (Malone) Anger of Austin, Texas; Thomas and Nancy's son Matthew Anger, his wife Mary Jo (McChesney), and their children Justin, Stefan, Marie, Nicholas, Juliana, Alexandra, Charlotte, Natalie, Joshua, and Conrad Anger, all of Chester, Virginia; Thomas and Nancy's daughter Cory Anger, her husband Richard Frear, and their children Trey and Anna Frear, all of Maplewood, New Jersey; son James and his wife Gayle (Cesefske) Anger of Port Huron; daughter Patricia Anger and her partner David Nagy of Hamburg Township; Patricia's son William Anger and his wife Ruth Ann McCarthy of Austin; Patricia's daughter Michelle, her husband Douglas Domas, and their children Jason and Brandon Domas, all of Canton; Patricia's son Joseph Houser, his wife Heather (Frazier), and their children Hannah and soon-to-arrive baby Houser, all of Aurora, Colorado. Gertrude also is survived by dozens of nieces and nephews and their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home, Port Huron, on May 30. Blain, Dorine  
Dorine Mae Blain Died, Thursday, May 28 2015 at home with her family by her side. Dorine  was born September 15, 1924 in Detroit to the late Avery and Sylvia Dandron.  She was a longtime waitress in many restaurants in the Algonac area and also a bookkeeper for many years at Black River Country Club.  In her retirement years she enjoyed working as a food demonstrator in many grocery stores in St. Clair and Macomb Counties until she was 80 years old. She loved spending time with her family and her fur babies.  She had a love for shopping and she never missed a good sale especially at the grocery store.  She also loved her high heels, the Lawrence Welk Show and she never turned down a good dessert. Dorine is survived by her children, Cheri (Thomas) Malleis, Fred (Barbara) Blain,  Shirley (John) Babcock, Scott (Florence) Hatcher, Stephen (Georgina) Hatcher, and Stacy (Ralph) Giese. Grandchildren, Deborah (Jeffrey) Drexler, David Golden, Jacob (Michelle Perez) Blain, Joshua Blain,  Matthew (Naomi) Babcock, Kevin (Jill) Babcock, David (Imelda) Hatcher, Timothy (Lauren) Hatcher, Robert Hatcher and Cory Hatcher,  great grandchildren, Zachary and Sydney Drexler, Kirsten and Eva Babcock, Jackson and Carter Babcock, Shay Patterson, Kiana Hatcher, Aimee and Alicia Cutcher her foster grandchildren, Gwendolynn, Jerall and Sebaston, her dear friend and caregiver, Yelena Way and her faithful fur babies Chip and Jessie.  Also her sisters in-law, Betty Dandron and Doris Blain, brother in-law, Edward Blain and several nieces and nephews and cousins. She was predeceased in death by her first husband, Clarence (Jake) Blain, her second husband, Derald B. Hatcher, brother, Avery (Bud) Dandron, son in-law, Michael Golden, sister in-law, Carol Blain, brothers in-law, Robert Blain and Donald Blain. Dorine's family would like to thank Blue Water Hospice Nurses, especially Nurse Jean, Chaplin Joe and Musical Therapist, Mindy for their very compassionate care both for Dorine and her family. In lieu of flowers you may wish to make a donation in Dorine's memory to Blue Water Hospice or Blue Water Humane Society Visitation 1-7 PM Sunday in the L.C.Friederichs & Son Funeral Home. Doggendorf, John  
John Doggendorf St. Clair John Doggendorf age 65 of St. Clair died, May 22, 2015. John was born June 28, 1949 the only child of the late Matt and Rosalie Doggendorf.  He went to college and after one year he went to work for Michigan Bell Telephone. He retired from Michigan Bell at the age of 55. John was a lifetime member of the Harley Owners Group. He loved riding his Motorcycle more than anything else and donated to numerous charities. He is survived by several cousins. Visitation Monday from 4-8 PM in the L.C.Friederichs & Son. In state Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church from 11 AM until mass 11:30 AM. Burial in Willow Grove Cemetery

Drake, John  
John J. Drake Applegate John Joseph Drake, 98, of Applegate died Wednesday, May 27, of complications due to pneumonia at Marwood Manor Nursing Home in Port Huron.  His wife, Marguerite, of Applegate preceded him in death in 2007.  He had two brothers, Joseph Drake and Frank Drkanic who preceded him in death.  He has one sister, Mary Buchsbaum of Los Angeles, California.  He is survived by his sons Michael (Susanna) Drake of Brethren, Michigan, Arthur Drake of Manhattan, New York, John Drake Jr. of Applegate, Thomas (Martha) Drake of Fort Gratiot.  He has four grandsons, Jason, Nathan, Jonathan and Caleb, children of Tom and Martha.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He served in World War II in the U.S. Army in the Pacific theatre.   He retired from General Motors where he worked as a model maker engineer.  He built and established the White Feather Motel and LakeView Trailer Court in Lexington.  He enjoyed playing golf and working around his home near Lake Huron.  Visitation will be at Pomeroy Funeral Home, Lexington on Monday, June 1, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM followed by Mass at St. Denis Catholic Church, Lexington, officiated by Father Eppenbrock at 11 AM.  Interment will be at St. Denis Cemetery.  Memorials can be made to Marwood Manor Nursing Home in Port Huron where he was cared for the past ten years.  The family gratefully thanks the Marwood Manor nursing staff for the great and loving care rendered him. www.pomeroyfuneralhomes.com
