Middleton, Chester  
Chester A. Middleton Traverse City Chester A. Middleton, 89, of Traverse City, formerly of Port Huron, entered into eternal life on Sunday, May 24, 2015. Chester was born on Aug. 18, 1925, in Detroit, to the late Maude and Harold Middleton. Chester attended Detroit Cass Tech High School, and on his 17th birthday, entered the U.S. Navy, at Detroit. He served during World War II seeing action in the North African campaign and Pacific Theater of war. He fought in several major battles including Iwo Jima, Peleliu, and Okinawa. He returned home after the war and spent 42 years working at The Budd Co., in Detroit, as a journeyman machine repairman. Chester married Patricia Blizzard Patzke in March 1963. Chester was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, most especially archery deer hunting, in his retirement. He deer hunted the Hudson Creek Swamp in Roscommon County, for 55 consecutive years. He also loved snowmobiling and spent many winters riding his beloved Polaris snowmobiles. In retirement, he and Patricia traveled extensively in their motorhome, visiting nearly every state in the U.S. and much of Canada. Chester is survived by his wife, Patricia, of Traverse City; his children-Patricia Boldizsar of Port Huron, Bill (Pam) Middleton of Grayling, Debbie (Larry) McMaster of Port Austin, Toni (Dean) Williams of Grand Haven, and Chris (MaryLou) Middleton, of Traverse City; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Chester was preceded in death by his daughter Leslie Coulston, and his siblings Juanita, Nelson, Gordon and Alice. A visitation will take place on May 29, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Traverse City. Cremation will follow. A memorial service will take place on June 27, 11 a.m., at Faith Lutheran Church, in Port Huron. A luncheon at the church will immediately follow. The family is being served by the Reynolds-Jonkhoff Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Miller, Bernice  
Bernice (Bea) Miller Port Huron Bernice (Bea) Miller, 90, of Port Huron passed away at Marwood Manor on Monday, May 25, 2015. She was born November 11, 1924 in Detroit to the late William and Nettie Clark.  She married Lee E. Miller on December 1, 1945 in the St. John's United Church of Christ. Bea was a Sandusky High School graduate and worked 43 years at Prestolite in Port Huron before retiring.  She was a longtime member of St. John's where she was active in the JOY Club and prior to that, the Mary Martha Guild.  She was active in the Port Huron Elks Lodge for over 50 years, including the couples and ladies golf leagues and the Vivians.  She also loved to play bridge and Euchre, but many people remember her as the Pie Lady. She is survived by her husband of almost 70 years, Lee; her son, Carl (Cindy) Houston; grandsons: Scott (Elise) Houston and Jeff (Diane) Denver; great-grandchildren: Owen and Ella Denver, brothers: Leonard Clark of Carsonville and Floyd (Ida) Clark of Fulton, MS. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ at a date to be announced. Her family would like to thank the caregivers at the Sanctuary at Mercy Village, McLaren Port Huron Hospital and Marwood Manor for the wonderful care she received. Memorial contributions may be made on her behalf to St. John's United Church of Christ. Cremation arrangements by Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th Street, Port Huron. Moehlman, Diana  
Diana M. Moehlman Algonac Diana M. Moehlman, 73, died Friday, May 22, 2015. She was born November 28, 1941 in Marine City, one of ten children, to the late Anthony & Iva Mercier. Diana was the loving wife of Howard Joseph Moehlman. They resided in Algonac and raised six children, Charles Payne, Kandy Cadena, Diana Lynn Shigur, Lauri, John and Paul Moehlman; 13 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Diana was like a mother to many friends of her children. Diana was a kind woman who always put her family's needs first. She will be remembered and missed by many here on earth, but will be greeted by many with open arms at the pearly gates. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard; a granddaughter, Candise Raschke and several brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015 in the  Algonac Church of Christ, 1601 St. Clair River Drive, Algonac. A time to gather and fellowship with the family will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Arrangements were made by Bower-Rose Funeral Home, Marine City.
