Allan F. Proctor, age 86, of Port Huron died February 13, 2014 in Port Huron Hospital after a short illness. He was born August 11, 1927 in Corunna, Canada and operated the family dairy farm on Petrolia Line Road in Corunna, Canada until 1968.  He married Yvonne Dortmann on June 25, 1966 at the Burns United Church in Moore Township, Canada. He moved to the United States were he worked for Tony Richards Construction until he was 74 years old before retiring. Allan was a member of the First Baptist Church in Port Huron. He enjoyed playing euchre, fixing things and was an avid gardener. He also worked as a volunteer at Mid City Nutrition in Port Huron. 

He is survived by one brother Gordon (Dorothy) Proctor of Corunna, a step son, Ronald (Gerry) Dortmann of Port Huron, a granddaughter, great grandson and many nieces, and nephews. Allan was preceded in death by his wife Yvonne Proctor, his parents Kenneth and Esther, twin sister Alice Proctor, sister Elizabeth (Fred) Gagan, and sister Lillian (Kenneth) Hagan.

A memorial service will take place at 11 AM Wednesday in the Smith Family Funeral Home - North, 1525 Hancock Street with the Rev. Dan Bakay pastor of the First Baptist Church in Port Huron officiating. Burial of ashes will follow at Lakeside Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.
