Barbara Ann Simpson, 61, of Port Huron went home to Heaven on June 7th, 2014 after battling many illnesses for years.  She fought the good fight and has received her reward in Heaven.

Barbara was born in Port Huron on November 17th, 1952 to Gerald and Ruth Eagling.  She graduated from Port Huron Northern.  She was married to Gary Simpson for 28 years.

Barbara was a lover of people.  She spent most of her life as a banker where she loved to meet and help people.  She always gave of herself to anyone in need.  Family was always important to Barbara.  Her greatest pleasure was spending time with them.  Barbara loved vacationing with her children and holiday parties with the extended family.  She enjoyed worshipping, reading and watching movies.

Barbara loved her siblings:  Diane and Charles Sopha of Burtchville; Sandy and Mike Varty of Kimball; Jill and Ben McElroy (Marlow) of Fairburn, GA; Jack Eagling (already home) and Alexandra Eagling of Ft Gratiot; Robert and Julie Eagling of Newnan, GA; Renae and Larry Smith of Davison; Jamie and Ken Catanzaro of Ft. Gratiot; as well as many wonderful and loving nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her beloved children, Jeremy and Rachael Simpson of Port Huron and Scott and Jana Simpson of Marysville as well as her 7 grandchildren: Kataria, Jeremy, Wesley, Alayna, Tyler, Truett, and Serenity.

There will be a Memorial Service and luncheon 2pm Sunday, June 15, 2014 at the Port Huron Church of Christ located at 756 17th St., Port Huron.

 Flowers or memorial contributions may be made to the Wishes of the Family and can be sent to 3590 Krafft Rd, Fort Gratiot 48059.
