Eleanor Stolp, age 93, died September 3, 2013. She was born June 29, 1920 in Copper City, Michigan to the late Arthur and Carrie Ortquist. On October 27, 1945 Eleanor married Ralph Stolp. He preceded her in death in 1957.

Eleanor worked at Finsterwald's and Huron Plastics. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, St. Clair for over 60 years, where she was active with various church organizations.Eleanor loved spending time with her family and going to church. She also enjoyed needlework, baking and doing word find puzzles.

She is survived by daughters; Janice Benson and Nancy (Gerald) Black, grandsons; Michael (Heather) Benson and Mark (Meg) Benson, great grandsons; Grant and Andrew, Matthew and Mitch, brother in law; Persel Fitz, nieces; Carol Fitz and Karen Fitz and several cousins and dear friends.She was preceded in death by a twin sister; Alice Fitz, brother; Lloyd Ortquist and son in law; David Benson.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday September 6th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, St. Clair. Visiting hours are Thursday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Friday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to services.
