Ernest H. Whicker, age 91, of Kimball, died Sunday June 30, 2013 at his daughter's home.

He was born May 18, 1922 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, son of the late Henry & Sarah (Henry) Whicker. He and Lina P. Primeau were married on May 30, 1943 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. She passed away on November 14, 2003.

Ernest was a World War II veteran of the Canadian Army. He was a police officer in Windsor, moved to the United States in 1962 and worked Security for the City of Dearborn. He was a member of the Canadian Legion Post #55, Windsor.

Surviving are his son, Larry (Mary) of Tecumseh; three daughters, Linda (Marlin) Redmond of Grosse Pte. Woods, Patricia (Mel Rutherford) Coffelt of Kimball, and Marilyn (Walter) Kniceley of Taylor; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 13, 2013 at the Pomeroy Funeral Home, Lexington. The Rev. Maureen Baker, pastor of Lexington United Methodist Church, will officiate. Inurnment will follow in the Forester Twp. Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
