Gail Richards

Gail Marie Sollie Richards

Gail Marie Sollie Richards (73) peacefully passed away Monday night, September 2nd, with her three children at her side.  Gail was born in Aberdeen, WA on November 11, 1939 to Marian Isabelle Sollie and the late Gylfi Magnar Sollie.

Gail was a beautiful, loving, happy woman who loved her family above all else.  She was always so proud of her eight grandchildren and all the joy they brought to her life.  Her love of education and intellectual conversation was instilled in her by her parents.  Traveling was one of her favorite past times and luckily she was able to explore many beautiful places with her family and friends and share a sunset, the nighttime the beach and memories. Her smile and positive outlook will forever be in our memories.

Gail was taken care of by the staff of Regency on the Lake.  They sat with her, joked with her and helped her in any way that she needed.  These people took her in as family.

She is survived by her children Linda (Robert) Myers of Columbus, OH; Wade (Janice) Richards of Fort Gratiot, MI; and Jill (Jacob) Ramig of Saint Peters, MO: mother Marian Sollie; sister Beth (Jerry) Moodenbaugh of Olympia, WA; special sister LaRee Phelps Brown of Warren, OH; and grandchildren Blake, Will, Mimi, Becca, Tori, Anastasia, Charlotte, and Harrison.

A celebration of her life will take place Saturday, September 7th from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Saint Joseph's United Methodist Church, 6004 Reed Road in Fort Wayne, IN with an informal Ceremony being held at 3:00 pm.  Please drop in and celebrate Gail's life with her friends and family.  Donations can be made in Gail's name to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD) - www.theaftd.org.
