Gilbert Edward Tucker, Sr.

Gilbert Edward Tucker, Sr., 77, of Port Huron Twp., passed away on January 27, 2014 in his home with his family by his side.

He was born on September 15, 1936 in Marlette, son of the late William and Susanna Tucker.

Gilbert married Cecelia Lozano on September 17, 1955 in Port Huron.

He was a former employee of the New Haven Foundry and was a former truck driver for Wade Trucking. Gilbert was a former member of the Moose Lodge, he enjoyed his love of music, playing his guitar, singing, going to the garage sales and flea markets in the summer.

Gilbert is survived by his wife, Cecelia of Port Huron Twp.; son and daughter-in-law, Gilbert (Suzanna) Tucker Jr. of Clyde; son, Manuel (Gene) Tucker of Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Blanche (Hank) Vroom of Ontario; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela (Timothy) Reckker of North Street; daughter and son-in-law, Mary (Gary) Regan of Port Huron; daughter, Lynn (Scott Coleman) Redington of Port Huron; daughter and son-in-law, Susanna (Dan) Snyder of Port Huron; daughter and son-in-law, Dawn (Robert) Ernst of Port Huron; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley (Richard) O'Connor of Port Huron; and several nieces and nephews; a very special friend and sister-in-law, Mary (Jim) Hagle of Port Huron.

He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Charles Tucker; three brothers, Eugene, William Earl and Robert Tucker.

Services will be at a later date. Cremation arrangements by Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th Street, Port Huron.
