Age 86, passed away May 3, 2014 at his home, unexpectedly. 

He was born July 1, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio.  He married Mary H. Bergland in August 1953.  She predeceased him in October 2002.  He remarried Patricia A. Marchioni in December 2010.

Jack retired from General Motors as a draftsman.  He graduated from East Detroit High School, and joined the Army after WWII, where he played baseball and was an M.P.

Jack excelled in sports and played minor league baseball for many years with the St. Louis Browns, now the Baltimore Orioles.  His love for playing sports continued throughout his life, including softball, bowling, golf, and horseshoes.  He enjoyed euchre and playing crazy 8's with his grandkids.  He loved barbecuing year round, and winter did not deter him.

Jack had 3 children, Cheryl A. Hurley, of Croswell, Thomas J. Wilson, of Lexington, and Robin J. Austin, of Booneville, Arkansas.  Five grandchildren, Scott Camm, Jack Camm, Crissy Harneck, Michael Harneck, and Kathleen Wilson.  Four great-grandchildren Damon Camm, Alaina Camm, Madison Harneck, and Caden Harneck.  He is preceded in death by his 4 brothers, and is survived by 3 sisters.

Friends and family are invited to join us at a memorial open house to celebrate Jack's life on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Lexington Heights' Clubhouse, 7271 Oak St., Lexington Heights, from 1-4 PM

Private ceremony and cremation has taken place.

Jack and his humor, often times sarcastic, will be dearly missed.
