James Joseph Pedrotte

James Joseph Pedrotte Emmett 77, formerly of Richmond, died Tuesday morning April 23, 2013 at home. He was born June 14, 1935 in Harbor Beach the son of Clayton and Phoebe (White) Pedrotte. His marriage to Velma Rager was May 14, 1966 in Mt. Clemens. James was a 1953 graduate of St. Peter and Paul High School, Harbor Beach. He was employed with Chrysler Corporation, Mound Rd. Engine Plant, for 35 years until his retirement on May 30, 1992 and was a former chief union steward for the U.A.W. Local# 51 for ten years. He enjoyed bowling, deer hunting, card playing, grocery shopping, cooking, yardwork, watching sports on t.v. and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife Velma of 46 years are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Steve, Mike and Diane and Rob and Anna, eight daughters and four sons-in-law, Cindy Fisher, Patricia and Don Kutchman, Cheryl and John Sherwood, Michelle and Rob Kutchman, Victoria Havard, Denise and Norman Verchure, Janice Cox and Stephanie Pedrotte; 15 grandchildren; siblings, Charles and Don Pedrotte and Joann Baker and several nieces, nephews and friends. The family honors the memory of James and invite you to visit and share memories Thursday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond, with scripture services at 7:00 p.m. Rite of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Richmond, with 10:00 a.m. visiting.
