Lawrence Howe Obituary
Port Huron
Lawrence E. Howe Jr. "JR" 72, of Port Huron, died Monday, March 14, 2016, at Lake Huron Medical Center, after a short, but brave battle.
He was born April 6, 1943 in Port Huron to the late Eileen LaMotte. JR worked for Grand Trunk Western Railroad for a number of years, and then in construction. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, boating and time spent with family. He is survived by his daughter Hayley (Gary) Gerlach, brothers James (Loreen) Howe, Wayne (Theresa) Stickney, sisters Margaret Holmes, Cheryl (Donald) Wahl, Lora (Doug) Howe, Irene (Michael) Grosser, Cathy (William) Mumford, 3 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Eileen and Leonard LaMotte, 3 siblings, William Howe, Nancy Warshefski and Lynda Johnson, and his son Vincent C. Howe.
A memorial service will be held at Griswold Street Baptist Church, 1232 Griswold Street, Port Huron on Sunday, March 20, at 1:00 with a luncheon to follow in the CAC. Ashes will be set to rest in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery at a later date.

We will miss you so much Uncle Jr. I will be teaching Evie how to play chess and making sure she knows who you are and the wonderful man you were.
