Norma Jeanette Pool, 61, of Fort Gratiot, died Monday, September 9, 2013.

She was born June 8, 1952 in Virginia to the late Gerald Marks and Laura Henry. She married Dana Pool on June 6, 1983 in Port Huron.

Mrs. Pool was employed at the Juvenile Detention Center for 30 years, retiring in 2003. She owned and operated Blue Water Pet Patrol with her longtime friend Jeanette Cowley. She was a member of B.P.O.E. Lodge #343 and a lifelong member of the Moose Lodge. Norma enjoyed bowling and golfing and was on the go all the time.

She is survived by her husband, Dana; two sons, Nick (Stephanie) Ward of Fort Gratiot and Matt Ward of St. Petersburg, Florida; a sister, Sandra Hutchinson of Port Huron; a brother, Ron Marks of Melvin; a sister-in-law, LouAnn Marks of Marysville; a niece, Erin Allen; and her lifelong friend, Jeanette Cowley. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Meryl Henry and brother-in-law, Al Hutchinson.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 13, 2013 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.

Inurnment will follow in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville.
