Richard A. Walker
Richard A. "Dick" Walker, 74, died Tuesday, October 15, 2013 in Marwood Nursing and Rehab following a long illness.
He was born October 24, 1938 in Port Huron to the late Alex and Eva Walker. He married Catherine J. (Pond) Hall on December 12, 1981.
Dick worked for many years and retired from Detroit Edison. Previous to that, he worked for the Port Huron Police Department. He also served in the U. S. Navy. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid Port Huron Fighting Falcons Fan. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church and Moose Lodge 158.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine J. Walker; children, Jean (Doug) Lybbert, Leigh (Steve) Walker, Pamela (Brent) Ruthenberg and Douglas (Lynn) Hall; grandchildren, Justin (Tatiana) Reaume, Meagan Reaume, Jessica Parker, Kyle Parker, Nick Gordon, Caylee Gordon and Branden Hall; great grandchildren, Nolan and Jeric Reaume; brother, Lorne (Shirley) Walker and numerous sister and brothers in law, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen Catholic Church. His seven grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Visiting hours are 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the service time Friday at church.
Memorials may be made to Marwood Nursing and Rehab or Holy Trinity Parish/St. Stephen Church.
