Ronald Francis Baer


Ronald Francis Baer, 76, of Jeddo, died Saturday, January 18, 2014.

He was born December 28, 1937 in Detroit to the late Max and Edith Baer. He married Laura Simone Schleiger on October 16, 1981 in Roseville.

Prior to his retirement, Ronald was a metal model maker for Allied Signal which later became Honeywell. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a Corvette enthusiast, dog lover and enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching boxing, NASCAR, baseball and football.

He is survived by his wife Laura; two sons, Bill (Sharon) Baer and Mike (Tracy) Baer; step daughter, Pamela (Kevin) Rupkey; three grandchildren, Stephen Baer, Autumn and Colton Rupkey; his brother, James (Cathy) Baer; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Maxine Bates and Martha Evans.

Visiting will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in the Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with  Military Honors  conducted by the U.S. Army and St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council at 8:00 p.m.
