William A. Quinn Sr.

William A Quinn, Sr. Port Huron Township William A Quinn, Sr., age 90, of Port Huron Township, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 12, 2012, after a long illness. He was born on May 23, 1922 in Port Huron, to the late Walter and Bertha Quinn. He married Genevieve Jones on November 14, 1942. He is preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve, daughters; Sarah Jane and Vicki Lynn and sons; William Jr. and David Wayne. He married Laura Rouke on March 15, 2008. William served in the US Army. He retired from Grand Trunk Railroad and was a volunteer of Port Huron Township Fire Department. William is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Douglas Maitrott of New Baltimore; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Clifford Churchill of Port Huron Township; daughter Patricia Quinn and fiance, William Lawson of Port Huron; daughter-in-law, Deborah Quinn; wife, Laura Quinn and her children; grandfather of 26, great grandfather of 24, several brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Ross Bible Church, 2865 Maywood Dr., Port Huron Township. The Reverend J. Randall Withenshaw will officiate. Burial will be in Kinney Cemetery in Clyde Township. Visiting hours will be, Thursday, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Jowett Funeral Home - 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th St., Port Huron and on Friday, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Saturday, from 10:00 am until time of service, at church. Pallbearers will be Timothy and Terrance Quinn, Scott, Michael and William Churchill and Gavin Bowen. Honorary Pallbearer, Matthew Miskell.
