Lee Chandon Owens

Lee Chandon Owens St. Clair Lee Owens, 53, passed away October 11, 2013, peacefully at home. He was born November 3, 1959 to Calvin and Betty Roberts in Hobbs, New Mexico. Lee was married to his "Babydoll" of 21 years, wife Tamara Owens. Tamara has had Multiple Sclerosis their whole marriage and Lee was her constant caregiver, always done with love and affection. They had 6 precious children. Jessica Darval (Jason, deceased), Candace Owens, Courtney Swinson (Joey), Cherie Webb (Brandon), Lee Jr., Chandon (Fiance Shelby Weiss). HIs Children had a piece of his heart. He was very proud of his 12 grandchildren. Ethan Ward, Kaysn Darval, Brennan Schaller, Connor Schaller, Kiernan Schaller, Tristan Moore, Taylor Swinson, Faith Swinson, Twins Cameron and Landon Swinson, Ashton Hall and Ryan Webb. He is survived by brother Tim (Maritza) Roberts, father and mother-in-law Richard and Jane Drinkhorn of Armada, MI. Brother-in-law Rick Drinkhorn (Jenny), sister-in-law Jill (Jim) Rinke. Many fun and loving nieces and nephews. Lee worked for LumberJack Building Centers for 16 years. In his younger years he was a bull rider on the Pro-Rodeo Circuit. During high school he was an all-state football, track, baseball, and basketball player. Besides spending time with his family, he looked forward to the days he could spend with his "Big Guy", his son Chandon. They were best friends. Lee took much pride in teaching his son golf, watching Chandon play tennis and most of all their memorable fishing trips. A memorial/benefit will be held November 9, 2013 at the St. Clair Inn at 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in St. Clair, MI. `Cremation has taken place. Arrangements by Young Funeral Home
