Harry H. Gottschalk Harry H. Gottschalk, 84, died April 29, 2011 in Ann Arbor VA hospital after a brief illness. He was born on February 1, 1927 in Dearborn, Michigan, He married Lorraine Carpenter April 3, 1948. She died February 17, 1995. Harry was affectionately known as "Harry The Hugger". He served in the United States Army during World War II. He retired after 30 years of service from Grand Trunk Western Railroad. He was a member of several Masonic Lodges and churches. Harry loved to play cards. He was a very hard worker and could do anything. Harry suffered from Alzheimers, but was kind and loving and will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his two daughters, Helen (Dennis) Cole, Betty (Richard) Wilkins, and son Harry Gottschalk; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; his good lady friend, Bonnie Wright. Visitation will be from 2-5 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Military graveside honors will be conducted under the auspices of St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.. Memorials may be made to the wishes of the family.
