William B. Rich

William B. Rich Port Huron William B. Rich, age 69 of Port Huron died September 28, 2012 in his home after a long battle with a rare illness known as PSP, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. He was born May 24, 1943 to Elmer and Margaret Rich in Port Huron and was a lifelong area resident. He married Laura A. Jones on May 4, 1985 in Port Huron. Mr. Rich worked for 33 years at Ford Motor Company and was a member of Local 400 and the Moose Lodge #158. He enjoyed going to the casino, dancing, and the Detroit Tigers. Mostly, he loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Laura A. Rich; his children, Scott (Vickie) Rich, Richard Jones, Bobbie Jo Jones, Cassie (Mike) Rich, and Jennifer Rich; 9 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Bonnie Jones; a sister-in-law, Rosemary Rich; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Jack, Elizabeth, Judith, and Margaret Rich; a grandson, Devin; his father-in-law, Kenneth Jones; a special nephew, Trevor; and his uncles, Tom and Art. Mr. Rich's body was donated to the University of Michigan. There will be a celebration of life held next year on his birthday. Memorials may be made to his family.
