Arthur John Angerbrandt

Port Huron

Arthur John Angerbrandt, 92, of Port Huron died Saturday, January 11, 2014 in Port Huron Hospital.

He was born June 13, 1921 in Wheatland, Michigan to the late Avery and Anna Angerbrandt.  He married Ruth Mahosky on January 19, 1946 in Port Huron.  She died July 12, 2007.

Arthur was in the United States Army and a prisoner of war during World War II.  He worked for Mueller Brass as a press operator and worked in the Forging Department for 44 years retiring in 1984.  He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, riding his bike down by the river, working on cars and going to his friend's farm. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. 

He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Richard) Wahl; two sons, William (Karen) Angerbandt and Dennis (Donna) Angerbrandt; nine grandchildren, Duane Wahl and Mitzi, Troy Wahl and Michelle, Jeffrey (Nancy) Wahl, Jodie (Jimmy) Moran, Amanda (Ron) Erway, Aaron Angerbrandt, Sarah (Chad) McVay, Staci Koening and Dennis Angerbrandt II and Jennifer; 14 great grandchildren with two on the way; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brother Daniel (Fern) Angerbrandt; and a sister, Evelyn (Lloyd) Van Conant.

Visiting hours will be 5-8 p.m. Friday in Smith Family Funeral Home-North.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014 in Smith Family Funeral Home-North, 1525 Hancock Street, Port Huron.  Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.  Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans.
