He was born March 1, 1923 in Deckerville to the late Andrew and Alice Corry. He was the beloved husband of the late Caroline Louise Corry for 61 years. They met at London Dairy when she was 16 years old, where she served him a giant ice cream cone. They married June 10, 1950 in Trinity Lutheran Church and had a beautiful and happy life together.

Mr. Corry served our great nation in the United States Army Air Corps right after he graduated high school. He proudly served two tours, including 108 missions from 1942 to 1945. He was a navigator, bombardier, and tail gunner in the B26 Martin Maurader, the "Mississippi Mudcat". He frequently and proudly shared stories about his years of service and truly loved our country.

Art worked at London's Dairy, driving the milk delivery truck. He also worked for Auto Lite and owned and operated a Sinclair gas station, "Sutton Corry" with his friend, Hal Sutton in the late 50's. He worked for Tony Richard's roofing and siding from the 1950's until his retirement, and has owned Sparkle Wash since 1977.

He was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served as an usher.  He was also a member of American Legion Charles Hammond Post #8, Disabled American Veterans Chapter #12, and V.F.W. Charles School Post #796.    He enjoyed working with wood and "fixing stuff," especially his grandkids broken toys. He loved telling jokes and sharing brain teasers.

He was a loving, devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and dear friend to many. He is survived two sons, Stephen (Linda) Corry and Charles (Vicki) Corry; a daughter, Susan (Dennis) Bucholtz; grandchildren, Amy O'Rourke, Charles (Christina) Corry, Jacqueline (David) Moore, Ian (Alisha) Corry, Jillian (Jeff) Iles, Kyle (Ashley) Corry, Daniel (Tera) Corry, Halle Corry, Jamie Corry, Johnathan (Kristi) Corry,  and Tyler and Kip Bucholtz; 20 great grandchildren; a sister, Dorothea Kinnee; a sister-in-law, Eileen (James) Collins; and dear friend, Tony (Althea) Richards. Art was loved and treasured by all his family and countless friends.
