Charles J. Ferguson age 96 of Peck died June 1, 2013. He was born in Brown City to Duncan and Effie Ferguson. He served in the United States Army in the Pacific during World War II and married Lavina Cummer on March 17, 1946. They shared 49 years of marriage until her death April 18, 1995. Charles married at the age of 90 Agnes Romskin on October 3, 2006.
Charles retired from Ford Motor Company after driving truck. He was a member of the Peck American Legion, the Brown City VFW, DAV of Sandusky, Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star and for many years attended the Peck United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife Agnes Ferguson, a daughter Marilyn Harmes, 2 sons Charles J. (Marjorie) Ferguson and Robert (Lori) Ferguson, 2 step-daughters June (Gary) Nelson and Gail (James) Wadley, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchild, a sister Louise Irving and a brother Harley (Thelma) Ferguson, 2 sister in law Ann Beutler and Jean Ferguson.
He was preceded in death by 4 brothers Sewell, Alex, Duncan and Auburn and 3 sisters Geraldine Becker, Virginia Johnson and Mary Ellen Hill.
A gathering and visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Monday 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Carman Funeral Home in Brown City.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Carman Funeral Home with burial in Elk Township Cemetery.
