Colin John Chisholm

St. Clair Township

Colin John Chisholm, 75, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at his home.

He was born in St. Clair Shores,  July 21, 1938, the son of the late Bartley and Bernice (Gradley) Chisholm.

His marriage to Beverly Ann Chisholm was November 14, 1964, in Mt. Clemens. Beverly passed away November 1, 2009.

Colin served his country from 1957, with the United States Army, United States Navy and United States Air Force before retiring from service as  Master Sergeant in 1998.  He was a past V.F.W. District Commander of Richmond Post #6802.

Colin was a 1957 Lakeshore High School, St. Clair Shores graduate and a member of the 1957 undefeated football team. He was  past president of Memphis Lions Club and a private pilot who helped with the .

Surviving are four daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Hayward Gilliam of Imlay City, Kris and Wesley Waite of Avoca, Sandy and Clarence Chandler of Chesapeake, VA and Shannon and Mark Esper of Romeo, three sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Lucy of Rockford, Dennis and Tammy of Imlay City and Guy and Theresa of Ruby; 16 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-granddaughters and several nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother John Chisholm in 2010.

The family honors the memory of Colin and invite you to visit and share memories Saturday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond. Funeral services by the Richmond V.F.W. Post #6802 will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Burial with military honors will be 10:30 Tuesday at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
