Doris Ann Hyde Emmett Doris Ann Hyde, 88, passed away Saturday, December 21, 2013, at her home. She was born in Port Huron, September 10, 1925, the daughter of the late George and Mary (Conlin) Watson. Her marriage to George Bartholomew Hyde, April 18, 1953, in St. Stevens Catholic Church, Port Huron. George died May 22, 2004. Doris was a longtime and active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett where she served and provided alter flower arrangements and laundered linens for many years. She was a member of the Alter Society and the Daughters of Isabella for 59 years. Doris loved her Lord and family and spent her life serving them both. She loved having her family around her and enjoyed playing cards. Surviving are 3 sons and daughters-in-law Tom and Laurie Anger of Murphy, Texas, George and Mary Ann Hyde of Jeddo and William and Karen Hyde of Emmett; 7 daughters and 3 sons-in-law Sandra Koch of Emmett, Patricia Lindgren of Emmett, Marie Hyde of Troy, Barb Lipson of Rochester, Ruth and Don Fredendall of Port Huron, Mary and Jerry Ferrato of Granton, Ontario and Theresa and Mike Marsh of Croswell; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ken (Audrey) and Al (Sue) Watson, both of Ft. Gratiot, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Delbert Anger; son, David Anger (1963); grandson, Adam Hyde (2010); four brothers, Thomas, Donald "DJ", Jack and Gerard Watson; two sisters, Ruth Hyde and Marie Marshall; and son-in-law, Henry Koch (2010). The family honors the memory of Doris and invite you to visit and share memories Friday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Yale, with rosary devotion service at 6:30 p.m. Rite of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett, with 10:00 a.m. visiting. Fr. Tom Kuehnemund will officiate. Burial will be in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Kenockee Cemetery, Kenockee Township.
