Eavaleen E. Barber Marysville Mrs. Eavaleen Eugean Barber, 82, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011. She was born November 25, 1928 in St. Clair County to the late Patrick and Eava O'Neill. She married Gerald R. Barber on August 19, 1950. He died November 11, 1991. Mrs. Barber had been employed over the years at Bindicator, Prestolite, Chrysler, Port Huron Paper and as a food demonstrator at Sam's Club. She was a member of Marysville United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Fitness was her passion. She walked daily, belonged to Viking Fitness and volunteered with fitness programs at Port Huron Hospital. She is survived by two sons, David (Karen) Barber of Marysville and Stephen (Cindy) Barber of Zephyrhills, Florida; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Tabatha) Barber and Justin, Amanda and Danielle Barber; four great grandchildren, Jack, David and Calla Mae Barber and Ellen Sielski; two sisters, Bertha Smith and Joan Reid; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by a sister, Beth Fenner; and two brothers, Louis O'Neill and Harold O'Neill. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 11, 2011 in Marysville United Methodist Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The Reverend Barbara Welbaum will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Marysville United Methodist Church or Port Huron Hospital Auxiliary. Arrangements are by Marysville Funeral Home.
