Floyd Warren Bracy, Jr. Marine City Floyd Warren Bracy, Jr., 88, of Marine City, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013. He was born April 26, 1924 in Detroit to the late Freda and Floyd Bracy Sr. He married Mary E. Chittenden on October 7, 1950 in Royal Oak. She died May 22, 1995. Mr. Bracy worked in commercial real estate for Frank's Nursery, Rite Aid and Wrigley Supermarkets. He was raised in Ferndale and served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II as a medic. He enjoyed boating, fishing and watching the freighters. He loved to sing, especially bluegrass, old country music, show tunes and gospel music. For the past 25 years, he lived in Marine City. He is survived by his son, Floyd (Anna) Bracy of Chesterfield; grandchildren, William Otterson, Nicole Elise Bracy, Jessica (Don) Knowlton, Amanda Bracy, Jason Bracy, William Bracy, Nathaniel Ameel, Rebecca Ameel and Samuel Ameel; great granddaughter, Emily Marie Knowlton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by a son, William A. Bracy; a daughter, Susan A. Ameel; and a brother, Roger L. Bracy. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2013 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Dennis Aho will officiate. Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council and the U.S. Air Force.
