Glen William London

Glen William London, 94, died Saturday, April 12, 2014.

He was born December 2, 1919, the son of the late Clarence and Nellie London. He married Rita Maxwell on January 27, 1940 in Amadore, Michigan. She preceded him in death on May 24, 2009.

Glen founded London's Farm Dairy in 1936 with his brother, Clyde and brother-in-law, Dewey Blizzard and retired as president after 50 years with the Company.

He was a past president of the Michigan Milk Producers, former Mayor Pro-tem and member of the Port Huron City Council, Past President of the Port Huron Optimist Club, member of the Port Huron Hospital Board, Industrial Development Corporation and Citizen's Federal Savings Bank Board of Directors. He was a faithful member of   Ross Bible Church where he served on the Church Board and was involved with the development of WNFA Christian Radio. He was a former Elder and Sunday school teacher at Westminster Presbyterian Church. He was a Past Board Member for both Youth for Christ and Bridge Builders Counseling Center. His hobbies included bowling, golfing, gardening and hunting.

He is survived by three daughters, Judith (Michael) Sutton and Diane (Jerald) Brown, all of Fort Gratiot and Jacqueline (George) McNaughton of Croswell; seven grandchildren, Julie (Gerald) Furness, Rebecca (Robert) Beckley, Laurie (David) Goetze, Tricia (Steven) Meade, Matthew (Ellen) McNaughton, Bryan (Lisa) McNaughton, and Rachel (Robert) Galbraith; eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Charles London of Port Huron; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Zella Duetch, Verna London, Clyde London, Max London and Norma Jean Atkins.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.  Thursday, April 17, 2014 in Ross Bible Church with visitation one hour prior to the service.  The Rev. Tim Clark and the Rev. Steve Scott will officiate.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew and Bryan McNaughton, Robert Galbraith, David Goetze, Robert Beckley and Gary London.
