Harold Greg Fletcher, 60, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 22, 2014. He was born May 11, 1953 in Lexington, MI to the late James and Martha Fletcher. He moved to Port Huron, MI in 1962 where he spent the remainder of his life.
He married Carol Ann Kortes, his loving wife of 40 years, December 21, 1973. They were blessed with two wonderful sons and six grandchildren. Harold worked for Hyper Alloys in Roseville for 30 years before realizing his dream of owning it. He purchased the company January 1, 2014. Harold was an extremely generous person. He had a huge heart and would help anyone in need without hesitation. He always put family and friends first and will be sadly missed.
Harold leaves behind his wife and best friend, Carol Fletcher; two sons, Harold Fletcher, Jr. (Sarah) and Christopher Fletcher; grandchildren Nathen Anndrews, Christian, Harmony, Harold III, Harrison, and Isabella Fletcher all of Port Huron. He is also survived by his brothers James (Lori) Fletcher of Burnet, Texas and Gary (Mary Lynne) Fletcher of Ft. Gratiot, sister Karen (James) Kearney of Port Huron, brother-in-law Paul (Sheila) Kortes of Port Huron, and sister-in-law Linda (Dave) Wingard of Port Huron along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents James and Martha Fletcher, stepfather Milo Kimball, sister Linda Fletcher, and special niece and nephew Amy Fletcher and Shaun Kearney.
Funeral Service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Karrer-Simpson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery.
Visiting hours are 1-3 & 6-8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 p.m. until the service time Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Blue Water Area Humane Society.
