Irene Davis, age 89, a resident of Port Sanilac passed away on Sunday February 23, 2014 at St. John-Providence Hospital in Detroit, following a brief illness.
She was born on April 3, 1924 in Hamtramck a daughter of the late Anthony and Felicia (Waliszewski) Pasko. Irene married George A. Davis on May 6, 1950 in Detroit. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2009.
Irene loved to play bingo and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. She was a teller at the Exchange State Bank in Port Sanilac for many years. Irene was also a member of St. Marys Catholic Church.
Irene is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Susan Davis of Port Sanilac. Her grandaughter Kellie Nichol and great grandson Davis Nichol. Several nieces and nephews and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her grandaughter Jolene Barrett on April 29, 2012.
Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30a.m. on Friday at Ave Maria Parish-St. Marys Catholic Church in Port Sanilac. Friends may call at the church from 9:30-10:30 on Friday. Fr. Robert Fisher will officiate. Inurnment will be in Old St. Marys Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to St. John Providence Health System Foundations.
