Mothers are a gift from God. Jean Alice Pearson through her absolute Faith and Hope in her Savior Jesus Christ, left this world on September 6th, 2013 at the age of 84 years to take her place among the Saints and believers. Jean passed away at her home, with her family by her side.
Jean was born September 23rd, 1928 in Braddock, Pennsylvania to Cecil and Anna (Klavon) Lowell. Jean moved as a child to the Lowell Farm in Clio, MI.
Jean Married Vernon E. Pearson on February 1, 1946, in Flint. She and Vernon moved to Port Huron in 1951. Jean worked at the Woman's Benefit Association, Woodland School, and retired from Port Huron Hospital.
Jean is survived by her son Paul of Burtchville, and daughter Teresa (Dan) Catanzaro of Port Huron, sisters Peg (Darrel) James of Durand, MI., Carol Roth of Clio, MI., brother Bob (Jan) Lowell of Freeland, MI., and sister Patty (Dick) Kern of Clio, MI.
Jean is survived by her Grandchildren, Amy (Mark) McRoy of Gallatin, TN, Veronica Catanzaro and Mark Duckworth of Port Huron, Daniel (Megan) Catanzaro of Marysville, Cody (Catherine) Pearson of Sandusky, MI., Katie (Frank) Roosevelt of Burtchville, and Debbie Diller of Las Vegas, NV.
Jean is also survived by her Great Grandchildren, Dayn Atherton of Gallatin, TN, Brandyn Atherton of Owensborrow, KY., Daniel Duckworth of Port Huron, McKenna, Madison, and Morgan Catanzaro of Marysville, Bradley, Gabriel and Annaliea Pearson of Sandusky, MI., Caleb Pearson of Fort Gratiot, Cameron and Destiny Roosevelt of Burtchville.
Special thanks to brother-in-law Gerald (Theola) Pearson of Burtchville, nephew, Bill (Nancy) Clark of Prescott, MI., niece, Faye Lightle of Mt. Morris, MI., niece, Helen Wiess of Croswell, nephew, Gordon (Maureen) Inch of Fort Gratiot. Jean will be welcomed in to Gods Glory by her husband of 53 years, Vernon (1999), Grandson Jason Gladwish (1997), Granddaughter, Ailie Anna Pearson (2001), Sister Delores (2007) and Bill Williams (1999), Brother-in-law Marvin (2001) and Vivian Pearson (2013), Nephew Orlo Lightle (2013).
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held for Jean at the Riverside Tabernacle Church of God, 3675 North Rived Rd., Fort Gratiot, on Friday, Sept 20th, 2013 at 11:00 o'clock, and will be officiated by Pastor Bill Forbes and Pastor Bill Wahl. A luncheon will be held after the service. Please contact us if you are planning to attend. Thank you. After the luncheon, anyone who wishes to attend, there will be a graveside burial service at Mooretown Cemetery in Snover, MI.
Donations may be made to the Blue Water Hospice. Our heartfelt thanks to those wonderful people who helped our mother and family so much.
