Joseph Olesnavage Lexington Joseph Olesnavage, age 92, of Lexington, formerly Birmingham, died Sunday March 24, 2013 in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 26, 1920 in St. Clair, PA to the late Paul and Paraska (Zuk) Olesnavage. He and Jeannette Charlier married on February 15, 1945 in Birmingham. Joseph was a veteran of the Coast Guard, serving in WWII. He was an electrician for many years, a member of the I.B.E.W. Local #58. He was a member at St. Denis Catholic Church, serving in the Ushers Club for many years. Joe was also a member of the Knights of Columbus #7255 Fr. La Haie. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years Jeannette; 5 sons John (Margaret), Joseph (Sue), Mark (Judy), Paul, and Jim (Terri), and daughters Margery (Tom) Vogel, and Mary Ann (John) Cary; 16 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren; and his brother Pete Olesniewicz. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday March 27 at the St. Denis Catholic Church. Fr. Robert P. Schikora and Fr. Donald Eppenbrock will concelebrate. Burial will be in the Old St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Pomeroy Funeral Home, Lexington. Rosary will be held 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
