Louise Marie Wayburn Elsholz

Louise Marie Wayburn Elsholz, 101, entered eternal life on Sunday, March 02, 2014. She was born September 17, 1912 in Detroit to the late Lewis & Lillian Krueger. She married Stanley Wayburn on December 9, 1933 and to their union had three children. In 1951 they bought the Broadway Hotel. Stanley died in June 1962 but Louise kept operating the Hotel until she sold it and retired in 1967. Louise married Kenneth Elsholz on March 26, 1966 in Marine City. He died November 2, 2013. Louise was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church and enjoyed making ceramics for her family.

She is survived by two sons, Lawrence (Jacqueline) Wayburn of Clinton Twp. and Richard (Dianne) Wayburn of East China; grandchildren, Keith (Flora) Wayburn, Lisa (Glenn) Sanger, all of St. Clair Twp., Angela (John) Dinnan of Shelby Twp. and Bryan (Cathy) Wayburn of Gastonia, North Carolina; great grandchildren, Matthew and Brennan Dinnan, Bryce and Brady Wayburn, Shaylee and Joslyn Sanger and Brandon and Lauren Wayburn; a brother, James Krueger of Mt. Clemens; a cousin, Mildred Green of St. Clair and numerous loved  nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and two husbands, Stanley and Kenneth, she was also preceded in death by an infant son, Neil; five brothers, Lewis, Arthur, Harold, George and Donald Krueger and two sisters, Marie McMahon and Shirley Tibble.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014 in Bower-Rose Funeral Home, Marine City. Visitation will be from 3-8:00 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of the service in Bower-Rose Funeral Home. The Reverend Troy G. Waite, pastor of St. Martin's Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, East China. Memorials may be directed to Reverence Hospice. To send condolences
