Maxine Kamendat Obituary
Fort Gratiot
Maxine Erma Kamendat, 99, of Fort Gratiot, passed away on June 9, 2015, at the Medilodge of Port Huron.
She was born on October 12, 1915, in Lapeer, Michigan to the late Ford and Mamie Huntsberger. She married Charles Kamendat on January 15, 1949 in Ohio.
Maxine worked for many years at the Port Huron Paper Company. She enjoyed spending time with her devoted husband, her family, and her friends. Maxine also enjoyed her Church family and friends at Colonial Woods Missionary Church. She and her husband took part in the host and hostess ministry there for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Charles, son, Garth (Joan) Fleming, grandchildren, Mark Fleming and Douglas (Michelle) Fleming, great-grandchildren, Rachel (Ben) Aschauer, Erin (Tom) Gostinger, Kevin Fleming, Erica Fleming, Christina Giardini, Robin Kreuke, and Vickie Fleming, great-great-grandchildren, Allie and Lila Gostinger and Parker Aschauer.
Maxine was preceded in death by her son, Irving F. Fleming.
Funeral Services will be 12:00pm on Monday, in Colonial Woods Missionary Church, 3240 Pine Grove Avenue, Port Huron. Pastor Phil Whetstone and Pastor Bob Keller will officiate. Visiting hours will be 10:00am to 12:00pm at the church.
Arrangements by Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Avenue, Port Huron.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Colonial Woods Missionary Church or the charity of the donor's choice.

Charles....We lived across the street from you on Poplar and I graduated with Irv. I helped with his funeral and when Cindy and Chip were small you rode them around your yard in a wheel barrow! Do you remember? Sorry to hear about Maxine. You were such great neighbors. Haven't seen Garth since my brother's funeral. Peace be with you.

Will miss ministering to Mrs.Kamendat. Proverbs 31:10. Who can find a virtuous women? For her price is far above rubies. My condolences to the family.
