Nellie V. Andison Obituary
Nellie V. Andison Marysville Mrs. Nellie V. Andison, 103, of Marysville, died Thursday, July 14, 2011. She was born November 5, 1907 in Sebewaing to the late Carl and Ora Gotham McKay. She married Kenneth T. Andison on August 9, 1930 in Wauseon, Ohio. He died July 29, 1977. Mrs. Andison, affectionately called "the Chief" by her son Tom, graduated from Unionville High School in 1925 and attended Lansing Business University. Nellie was treasurer of Blue Water Vending and for many years assisted Mr. Carl Lasher in his various business ventures. She was a 50 year member of First Presbyterian Church and a life member of Millington Chapter #390 O.E.S. She is survived by her son, Thomas Andison; sister-in-law Arline C. McKay and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings, Thelma, Ernest, Ralph, Don and Allen; and an aunt, Nellie McKay Sheets. Visitation will be 1:30-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday in the Marysville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2011 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 9:30 a.m. Reverend Dr. Ronald Naylor of First Presbyterian Church of Muncie, Indiana and Reverend Jason Pitman of First Presbyterian Church of Port Huron will officiate. Burial will be in Rich Township Cemetery, Mayville at 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church or the International Symphony Orchestra.
