William "Bill" D. DeLude, 75, of Marine City, died Monday, January 27, 2014 in U of M Hospital. He was born December 9, 1938 in Marine City to the late David & Helen DeLude. The sentiment: May the work I do speak for me, was Bill's mantra. At a young age Bill started his work career by sailing the Great Lakes and then continued by working for, Fisher Insley, Joe Summerville Wood Products, Manter Technology, Diamond Crystal Salt Company and Rockford Carving. He was a jack of all trades and loved to work. Family remembers Bill as a person with a heart of gold. Bill enjoyed taking car rides and would usually end up at Terhune's for coffee in the mornings and then at the Riviera Restaurant.
He is survived by his brothers, Thomas of Marine City and David (Lynn) DeLude of North Carolina; a sister, Donna Vickers of Grand Ledge, MI. and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Mason in 2010.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation for friends and family will be held Tuesday from 6-8:00 pm in the Bower-Rose Funeral Home, Marine City with a rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Church. Memorials may be directed to
