Virginia "Ginny" Beatrice Cullimore

Virginia "Ginny" Beatrice Cullimore, affectingly known as the Blue Haired Lady on Colonial Lane, age 93 of Algonac, MI. died June 22, 2014 in her home.  She was born December 3, 1920 in Detroit, MI.  She married Frank Joseph Garzia on March 17, 1944 in Texas, he died June 21, 1944.

Ginny was an original "Rosie the Riveter" during WW II.  She was co-owner of the Sports Hut in Marine City, MI. for many years and owned and operated Ginny's Studio doing ceramics in Algonac.

Mrs. Cullimore is survived by her daughter Donna (John) M. Horvath, grandchildren Jennifer (Larry) VanTiem, Frank (Carrie) Cullimore,  and Ronald (Connie) Cullimore, great grandchildren Makailey, Landyn, Coy, McKenzie, Jordan, Sarah, and Katie, sister-in-laws Dorothy Wheaton and Cathy Garzia, divorced from Donald L. Cullimore in 1983, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her beloved parents Earl N. and Beatrice Droulard, a son Frank D. Cullimore, siblings Kenneth (Jess) Droulard, Keith (Betty) Droulard, and Don (Bev) Droulard, brother-in-laws Sam "Joe" Garzia and John Garzia.

A memorial service will be 2:00 PM Saturday July 19, 2014 at her daughters home, 2040 Golf Course Rd.  Harsens Island, MI. 48028.  Burial was in the Smith Cemetery, Cottrellville Twp., MI.   Memorial donations may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  Arrangements by the Gilbert Funeral Home, Algonac.
