Pamela Sue Mattock

Pamela Sue Mattock, 53, of China Twp., went to be with her Heavenly Father on July 26, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. Pam was born November 12, 1960, in St. Clair, MI, to Norman and Norene Stoecker. Pam married Robert C. Mattock on August 1, 1981, in St. Clair. They had two children, Timothy and Janae.
Pam's children were truly the joy and loves of her life. She loved cooking for the entire neighborhood and was "mom" to many of her children's friends. Pam loved vacations at Houghton Lake, Arizona, Jamaica, and spending time with friends and family. Pam was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and served in many areas. She was a member and contributor to the ladies' auxiliary of the St. Clair Fire Department. Pam was the purchasing manager at Diamond Crystal Salt Co, Akzo, and Cargill Salt, and retired after 23 years.
She is survived by her children, Timothy (Michelle) of Roseville, and Janae (Brad) Trombley of St. Clair, mother, Norene Stoecker, sisters- Sandy (David) Gray, Wendy Downing, and Lisa (Chris) Barr, nephews Dan and William, nieces Jessica, Kaylee and Lexia, special father-in-law, Bill Mau, and beloved pet dog Zeus. She is preceded in death by her Dad on August 28, 1999, and Tim and Janae's father and friend, Robert Mattock, September 5, 2013.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31, from 3-7 pm at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, August 1, with visitation one hour prior to the service from 10-11 am at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in St. Clair. Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or Blue Water Hospice. A private interment will be held at a later time. Pam's family would like to send a heartfelt thank you for the support of many family and friends. A special thank you goes out to Blue Water Hospice, especially Scott and Heather, for their excellent care and compassion during the past several months.
