I am absolutely devestated to lose such an amazing Uncle, and am so thankful for the time I was able to spend with him last summer during the many MANY times he visited my Dad.
It brings me great comfort to know that he is no longer in pain, and that he is up there keeping his buddy Jim company. I can just hear Uncle Dick telling my Dad how he had me horrified when he shared his racoon trapping stories with me at Zoblfest 2010. I'm sure they are having quite a laugh over it... All he had to do the rest of that week was mutter the word "Racoon" and he had me in stitches...
I wish with all my heart I was there to share a hug with all of you, and to comfort you the way you did for me last year... I love you all so much, and I am so, so very sorry for the loss of one of the funniest, kind-hearted men I have ever known. I feel truly honored to be known as his niece.
Uncle Dick- Thank you for all the snow-covered mornings that kept me glued to the window while you dug us out. You always seemed to appear out of no where! I knew when snowed, I would wake up to Uncle Dick clearing out the drive way- because that's just the kind of guy you were. I love you so much, and will miss you more than I can even say...
God Bless... I love you all and am always thinking of you.
