I just heard about Dan's passing, and I am at a complete loss for words. Dan was one of the kindest people I've ever met. I worked with Dan for several years at ITS at UC-Berkeley, and felt that he'd always been so warm and caring towards me. He was always quick with a joke, or a kind word of advice. It was also clear that he loved his dogs so much, and I could tell that he thought of them as his children. Dan taught me a lot about life, and what's important in life; these are lessons that are not easily condensed, but I will certainly carry them with me as long as I life. Thank you, Dan, for everything. I am so happy to have had you in my life. Your memory will live on. I will miss you. <3
