Thomas E. Hunt Clay Township Thomas E. Hunt, 80, of Clay Township, went to the Lord on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. He was born in Phelth, Kentucky on July 8, 1932, a son to the late Frank and Alice (Blackburn) Hunt. He married Barbara Geiger on August 31, 1963 in Mt. Clemens and she preceded him in death on October 10, 2005. Mr. Hunt served his country faithfully as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was employed as an inspector with Ford Motor Company and worked at the Sterling Heights transmission plant. He enjoyed fishing, camping, spending time with his grandchildren, and trips to the casino. Surviving are his daughters, Nannette (Tim) Gerstner of Algonac and Sara (Chuck) Warwick of Fair Haven; his son, Thomas E. Hunt, Jr. of Algonac; 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and brothers, Harry, James and Frank Hunt, Jr. Services will take place on Saturday at 3:30 P.M. in Bower-Rose Funeral Home, Marine City, with The Reverend Rebecca Baird Lepley officiating and Mr. Hunt's family will receive visitors in the funeral home on Saturday from 1 P.M. until the time of services at 3:30 P.M. www.bowerrosefuneralhome.com Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made directly to the family.
