Michael A. Moynihan, III

Kimball Township

Michael A. Moynihan, III, age 66, of Kimball Township, passed away on May 25, 2013, in his home, with his family by his side.  He was born on October 26, 1946 in Detroit.  He married Sandy Plummer on May 17, 1996, in Port Huron.  He is the son of the late Michael and Rosemary Moynihan.

He served in the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War.  He loved traveling, reading, camping and keeping up with the business world.  He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years and devoted caretaker, Sandy of Kimball Township, children; Janet (Edward) McLaren of Casco, Tammy (James) Plummer of Port Huron, Denise (John) Gavorin of Eastpointe, Robin (Chris) Sherbutt of Port Huron, Candise (Leonard) Patton of Port Huron, Andrew (Natasha) Patton of Kimball, Michael (Debbi) Plummer of Chelsea, Michelle (Bill) Stevens of Hazel Park and Stan (Kim) McLaren of Warren, 23 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and his faithful companion vicious Aloysuis, brothers; Kevin (Katherine) Moynihan of Redford, Brian Moynihan of Michigan, sisters; Ellen (Ted) Makowski of Oxford, PA, Nancy Moynihan of Atlanta, GA, mother-in-law, Cynthia Rowe of Port Huron, father-in-law, Douglas (Sharon) Plummer of Napoleon, OH, along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Patrick Moynihan.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Jowett Funeral Home - 1634 Lapeer Ave. at 17th St., Port Huron.  Pastor Dan Bakay will officiate.  Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery.   Visiting hours will be Tuesday, from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and again on Wednesday, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am, in the funeral home.  Pallbearers will be; Stan McLaren, Andrew Patton, Kevin Moynihan, Edward Plummer, Faro Ruffino and Leonard Forton, Jr.  Honorary pallbearer, Michael Plummer.

Memorial tributes can be made to the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.

St. Clair County Allied Veterans will conduct Military Honors.
