Samantha Jane Ward Columbus Township Samantha Jane Ward, 22, died very unexpectedly Saturday, February 8, 2014. She was born May 11, 1991 in St. Clair the daughter of James and Peggy (Naeyaert) Ward. Samantha was a 2009 Memphis High School graduate and was to graduate from Northern Michigan University with a BS in Psychology. She enjoyed hunting and playing euchre. Surviving in addition to her parents, Jim and Peggy of Columbus are three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Kelly and James Skokna of Almont, Christy and Joseph Henninger of Riley and Karen Ward of Columbus Twp.; two nephews, Lucas and Jack Skokna and her niece, Clare Henninger; grandmother, Margaret Naeyaert of St. Clair and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lawrence Naeyaert and Gerald and Verlyn Ward. The family honors the memory of Samantha and invite you to visit and share memories Wednesday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond, scripture services at 7:00 p.m. Rite of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Parish, Columbus, with 10:00 a.m. visiting.
