GIBSONVILLE - Luvenia Susan Anderson Bower, 90, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 3,1930 in Amelia County, VA to the late David S. and Sylvania Allen Anderson and was the wife to the late Welford Max Bower.
Susan and Max moved from Pinewood Country Club in Asheboro, North Carolina to Gibsonville in 2011. During her life, Susan worked as homemaker, medical secretary and Telephone Operator but was primarily a progressive and dedicated mother to her two children. She was a loving and faithful wife, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Surviving her are her children: Steven Bower and wife, Karen Chapple of Wilmington and Cherie Bower of Gibsonville; grandchildren: Neil Bower and wife, Megan; Brook Bower and Avril Bower and wife, Lauren. Her great -grandchildren include: Sophie Bower, Sawyer Bower and August Bower.
A memorial service will be held at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 2:00 PM. A private inurnment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Max and Susan Bower, with special emphasis on Hospice care services in your area.
