BURLINGTON - Mrs. Mary Duckworth "Jal" Moser, 72, of 2233 Woody Lane, Burlington, died at Liberty Commons on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at 10:40 p.m.
A native of Avery County, N.C., she was the wife of Gene Moser, who survives, and the daughter of Gurney L. Duckworth and Brazilla Braswell Duckworth, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include a daughter, Kim Phillippie and husband Larry of Graham; sons, Mike Moser and wife Luellen of Burlington and Jeff Moser of the home; eight grandchildren, Kenneth Phillippie, Beth Rumley and husband Chad, Brent Hall, Jordan Hall, Derrick Phillippie, Jessica Phillippie, Shelton Moser and Morgan Moser; sisters, Wilma Hicks and husband Lee of Newland and Mildred Buchanan and husband James of Morganton; and brothers, Gurney Duckworth and wife Martha of Boone, Ted Duckworth and wife Hilda of Burlington and Wayne Duckworth and wife Ann of Spruce Pine.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Paula Martindale; and a brother, Ray Duckworth.
The funeral service will be conducted at Antioch Baptist Church on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Steve Loy and the Rev. Tim McCann. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home and Crematory in Graham on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Liberty Commons and the Alamance Regional Cancer Center for their kindness and help during Mrs. Moser's illness.

Kim and family..We just heard about your mom's passing away..I'm so sorry to hear about her..I know how difficult it was when we lost mom right before Thanksgiving.. you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers!!
