GREENSBORO - Mr. William Derek Roach, 53, of 1305 Latham Road, Greensboro, died at his residence on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 following several months of declining health.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late William H. "Bill" Roach, Jr. and Carolyn Simmons Williamson, who survives. He was an artist and interior designer.
In addition to his mother of Burlington, survivors include his sister, Christie Tucker and husband Paul of Graham; a niece, Brittany Tucker of Graham; and his two longtime best friends, Dennis Robertson of Graham and Patrick Griggs of Whitsett.
A graveside service will be conducted at Pine Hill Cemetery on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Ron Harris with the family receiving friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. prior to the service at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington. Also, friends and family will be invited to Derek's residence immediately following the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local Hospice.
