GRAHAM - Mrs. Sandra Shaw Dodson died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 at 7:35 p.m. at the Hospice Home in Burlington.
A native of Alamance County, Sandra was married to the late Gerald D. Dodson. She worked for Your House Restaurant of Burlington and Wendy's of Graham for many years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Gerald D. Dodson; parents, Flossie K. Shaw and Carl F. Shaw; three sisters, Lucy Whitesell, Mary Lee Moore and Sara E. Young; two brothers, Calvin Shaw and June Shaw; some nieces and nephews; three sisters-in-law; and four brothers-in-law.
Survivors include two sisters, Martha Ann Grisby of Gibsonville and Donna Frye of Burlington; two brothers, J. W. Shaw of Liberty and Tommy Shaw and wife Brenda of Cleveland, Ga.; lots of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Leonard Gibson.
The funeral will be conducted at Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. by Pastor Robert Sargent. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Burlington.
The family will receive friends and family at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday evening.
